Climate Action! NOW OR NEVER!

Climate change is the gradual change in temperature due to human and nonhuman activities. When climate change occurs; temperatures can increase dramatically. When the temperature rises, many different changes can occur on Earth. For example, it can result in more floods, droughts, storms, or intense rain, as well as severe heat waves. As these changes frequently occur in future decades, they will likely present challenges to our society and environment.

The problem nowadays in my view is that we cannot blame anyone for climate change. Every country has played its role in it. Since the industrial revolution, humans have released about 1.58 trillion Carbon dioxide into the atmosphere of the earth. Every year we release billions of tons of greenhouse gases like Methane, Co2, etc and the emissions are rising. What we are doing to tackle them nowadays is blaming developing countries like China, India, Pakistan for emissions but if we look at the records the highest amount of emissions are by developed countries like the UK, United States, EU, etc. The problem with developed countries like these is they got rich by polluting the Earth and now they expect poor countries to stop emissions, not industrialize, and stay poor.

1. US: 339,174 MT or 28.8%
2. China: 105,915 MT or 9.0%
3. Russia: 94,679 MT or 8.0%
4. Germany: 81,194.5 MT or 6.9%
5. UK: 68,763 MT or 5.8%
6. Japan: 45,629 MT or 3.87%
7. France: 32,667 MT or 2.77%
8. India: 28,824 MT or 2.44%
9. Canada: 25,716 MT or 2.2%
10. Ukraine: 25,431 MT or 2.2%

The US has emitted almost 400 billion tons of Co2, which is about 25% of emissions historically. The US is Followed by the EU, UK, India, and China, etc. Thus the narrative that Climate change is the responsibility of the developing countries is false. If we want to overcome this climate change we need to act as ONE! Not only for speeches, rallies, protests, and conferences but for the betterment of humanity. The developing countries cannot just stop emissions and destroy their economies because it’s a matter of survival for them, but the developed countries can control their emissions per person by conserving energy and using it when necessary.

According to studies and climate risk index, the counties that would be affected by climate change are not the developed countries but the undeveloped poor countries. I firmly believe that we can tackle climate change if developed countries help poorer countries by producing efficient ways to use energy. Promoting cleaner energy methods would be crucial for our survival if we want to keep the economy running, which we do obviously :D. Developed countries can also help by building technologies like AIs which can be used for a lot of clean energy projects. This is already being done as the price of renewable energy methods such as solar panels, hydel electricity generators, etc are becoming cheaper every year and are available everywhere.

However, the developing countries also need to be responsible for their emissions, energy consumptions, etc. They need to learn from the mistakes of other countries and implement strict policies for Carbon emissions by factories, vehicles, etc.

In a nutshell, if we just start to blame each other for climate change the situation would be worsened, we have become so much addicted to blaming culture we might start a war for this, which is the last thing humanity needs.

As Swedish Climate activist Greta Thunberg said, " This is the biggest crisis humanity has ever faced. This is not something you can like on Facebook".
Think about it.
